NHRF Exhibition

This exhibition is organized in Athens at the National Hellenic Research Foundation, by its History, Philosophy and Didactics of Science and Technology Programme, in collaboration with the Antikythera Mechanism Research Project, the National Archaeological Museum and the Association of Ancient Greek Technology Studies.

Four models of the Antikythera Mechanism will be on display: elements and gears from the very first model built by Admiral Theofanides, the historical model made by Derek de Solla Price, usually on display at the National Archaeological Museum, one of the two models built by Michael Wright, and the model developed by the research group at the University of Thessaloniki.
Archival material from the dive at Antikythera and from early research will be displayed for the very first time, together with animations from the recently gathered data and short movies.
